Changes to Disability Services website

The Disability Services website presence is moving to the whole-of-government WA.gov.au platform.

The move brings together content from legacy websites of the Department Communities’ former agencies. In addition to Disability Services, these include Child Protection and Family Support, Housing and relevant content from the Department of Local Government and Communities.

Initial work to migrate the Disability Services website to WA.gov.au has started, which we expect to complete later in 2021. Content from our other sites will be migrated in a phased approach over the next 12 months.

WA.gov.au has been designed to improve the user experience by simplifying how people search for and find government information and services.

It is also designed to be accessible to as many people as possible. This includes people with disability, people who can’t use or struggle with digital services, people using alternative online technologies, such as mobile devices, and people living in locations with poor internet connection.

Communities is one of several government agencies that have decided to move to the WA.gov.au platform.
