The Disability Services Commission is hosting a series of information sessions about the WA NDIS throughout July, focused on the expansion into the local government areas of Armadale, Murray and Serpentine-Jarrahdale.
The sessions will include a presentation from a senior Commission representative and will provide information about the trial, eligibility, planning and the role of Local Coordinators. People already taking part in the WA NDIS trial will also attend a number of sessions to share their experiences.
There will be opportunities to ask questions and light refreshments will be served.
All venues are accessible and Auslan interpreters will be available on request. RSVP not required.
Sessions have been designed for specific audiences but people are welcome to attend any that they feel would be beneficial. Click on the relevant group below to see the sessions times:
· People with disability - If you are a person with disability or know someone who might benefit from WA NDIS these sessions are for you.
· Community organisation sessions - If you are a local community organisation or group who may be interested in exploring opportunities between your organisation and people with disability these sessions are for you.
· Service provider organisation sessions - If your organisation provides supports and services to people with disability these sessions are for you.
· General community information sessions – These sessions are in the evening and will provide general information similar to the sessions for people with disability.
