Therapy Focus Art Competition

West Australian school students are invited to submit artwork for Therapy Focus’s 17th annual Art Competition. Winning artworks will be used to illustrate a storybook written by local teacher, author and artist Sean Avery.

One-hundred selected artworks will be displayed as part of a community art exhibition at the Perth Town Hall in August. Twenty winning artworks will then be published as illustrations in the book, set to be launched during National Children’s Book Week.

A complimentary copy of the published book, written to encourage readers to look past differences and celebrate the unique talents and abilities of every individual, will be provided to every primary school in Western Australia, along with certificates for participating students.

Key dates:

Monday 30 April – Entries open with the commencement of Term Two. Teacher’s Resource Booklets will be provided to participating schools.

Friday 15 June – Entries close.

Monday 16 July – Winners and finalists will be announced with the commencement of Term Three.

Monday 20 August to Saturday 25 August – Community Art Exhibition at Perth Town Hall.

Thursday 23 August - Book Launch at Perth Town Hall.

Monday 10 September - Complimentary storybooks and certificates mailed.
