Reporting to the Department of Communities, Disability Services, 2018-19
Public authorities are required to report on their progress in implementing their Disability Access and Inclusion Plans (DAIPs) by Monday, 1 July 2019.
Officers listed as DAIP contacts with the Access and Inclusion team will receive their invitation to the online reporting system by email. If you have not received an invitation, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively you can use the DAIP Progress Reporting template below.
A detailed guide is provided below.
Public authorities are encouraged to include photographs of DAIP activities. A permission form to ensure people have agreed to their picture being used is provided below.
The Minister for Disability Services uses the information provided to develop a report that showcases the work being done by public authorities across Western Australia, highlighting examples of best practice and demonstrating the value of DAIPs. This report is tabled in Parliament. Copies of recent reports are available here.
Reporting in your annual report
Under the Disability Services Act 1993, public authorities must include a report about DAIP implementation in their annual report each year.
Reporting on the activities of agents and contractors
To develop their reports, public authorities may need to develop a process to track the activities of their agents and contractors. Below is a DAIP Contractor Reporting Template for use or adaptation as needed.
